今日は寒波のせいで終日天気が悪く、雪の予報も出ていた。
Today was a cold and cloudy day, and there was a possibility of snow in my town according to the weather forecast.
幸い、自宅の周りで雪が降ることはなかったが、１日中寒い日となった。わたしが担当するサイトでは吹雪になって、工事が中止になった。
Fortunately, it didn’t snow near my house, but it was still very cold. Unfortunately, due to a snowstorm, construction at my site was halted for the entire day.
この寒波は今週いっぱい続くとのことで、また工事が遅れることになる。
The cold weather is expected to persist for a week, causing further delays in the construction schedule.
また、現場社員の独断で機器搬入を大した理由もなく延期したことが判明。なんというか、工期を守ろうという気概が全く感じられない。
Additionally, I received news that tomorrow’s equipment installation work has been unexpectedly cancelled, and I couldn’t find a clear reason for it. I can’t say I feel confident about maintaining a strict schedule with the site crew members.
判断に迷うようであれば、一言でもいいので、こっちにも相談してほしい。というか、わたしはもう工期内完了は100%ムリだと思っているので、あとはわたしがいる間だけでも、事故などが起こらないことを祈るばかりである。
If they have any doubts or hesitations, I would prefer if they asked for my assistance. In any case, since it seems unlikely that we can complete the construction according to the original schedule, my main hope is that no accidents occur before I leave my job.
