昨日の先輩との食事で教えてもらったことは、どんなPMについていきたいか、ということ。
I was taught by my colleague about how project managers are kept up with.
自分が知らない分野はそのまま人任せにして突き通すのか、それともメンバーに詳しく聞いていっしょに進めていこうとするのか。上に立つ人間であれば、間違いなく後者のほうだと教えてもらった。
He questioned me which person would be more reliable; the person who leaves a task to others when he doesn’t know how to do it, or the person who is willing to proceed with a task by learning about it with someone who knows how to do the task well. We both know the latter is true without the rhetorical question.
わたしもその意見には賛成であるが、いまの会社はどうやらそういう人は貴重らしい。
Even though I totally agreed with him, it seems that this kind of person is rare to find in our company.
今まで、その先輩が参画してきたPJで、そんなPMはいなかったそう。
He told me that he has never seen those kinds of project managers who had that mentality.
なるほど。だからこそ、わたしはその先輩と馬が合っているのだなと思う。もっといろいろな話を聞いて勉強したいと思った。
I got it. That’s why I can get along with him. I want to study to be an ideal leader by talking to him.
