今日は長男の２歳の誕生日である。
It was my son’s birthday today and he turned 2 years old.
妻が長男用に作ったケーキでお昼にお祝いをした。
We celebrated him with a cake made by my wife for lunch.
甘さを控えたことが要因か、長男もあまり好きではなかったようだし、正直、大人が食べてもあまりおいしくはなかった。
Maybe due to the less sweet taste, it didn’t look like he liked the cake. Honestly speaking, I didn’t like it that much either.
ケーキはさておき、去年は吹き消せなかったロウソク、今年は自力で吹き消すことができ、長男の成長を感じた。
I also felt that he has been growing since he blew out the candles even though he wasn’t able to do so last year.
振り返ってみると２年はあっという間であった。
Time went by so fast when I look back to after he was born.
