今日は会社の創立記念日ということで、夕方に立食パーティーが行われた。
We celebrated the company’s anniversary with a cocktail party in the evening.
昨日入社した私にとっては、とてもよいタイミングで、多くの方と話をすることができた。

また、ケータリングで用意された料理がとてもおいしかった。
The food served by catering was very delicious.
六本木にお店を構える有名なシェフによる、日本各地の名産品を使った料理が振る舞われ、とくに当日朝に収穫され今の時期しか手に入らないというヤングコーンは絶品であった。
The cuisine was made by a famous chef who owns a restaurant in Roppongi and local specialties all over Japan were used in the cuisine. We had fresh young corn which was harvested in the morning. The chef explained to us that we could only eat the corn during this season.
コーンに生えている髭ごと食べるというレアな経験をすることができた。
As per his explanation, I tried to eat it with corn silk and had a very unique tasting experience.
