妹夫婦の新居に遊びに行ってきた。
We visited my sister’s new house.
去年11月に入居したということで、まだ新築の匂いがした。
Since it was built last November, their house still smelled like a new one.
なにより、天井がわたしのマンションや実家よりも高く、とても広く感じた。
Furthermore, the house has a higher ceiling than my apartment and our parents’ house we saw the room bigger because of the height.
もちろん、部屋自体も広いのだが、天井が高いことで、それをより強調する作りになっていた。
It is obvious that the rooms are big and the higher ceiling looked the rooms spacious.
また、新しい家ならではの自動照明やソフトクローズドアなどの設備があり、やはり新しいものはいいなと思った。
What I found interesting was the new features such as automatic lighting and soft-close system doors.
