I had drinks with my seniors who worked with me in the Egypt branch office.
今日は天気もよかったので、テラス席での一献だったが、それが良かった。
Since there was nice weather all day, we sat at a table on a terrace. That choice of setting was very good.
コロナを気にすることなく、会話といっしょにお酒や食事を楽しむことができた。
We enjoyed chatting and had nice food and drinks without worrying about the virus.
また、呑んでいる間の会話も、日本人同士であったが、こちらからお願いをして英語にしてもらった。
In addition, I asked them to speak in English during the party and they accepted my request.
つまり、英語での飲み会である。日本にいながら、英語で食事を楽しむことができ、エジプトでの一時を思い出すことができた。
So, we had a nice time speaking English with Japanese people while in Japan. This reminded me of my good old days in Egypt.
