今の会社を退職することを両親に報告した。
I talked to my parents about leaving my current company.
前回、その意向があることを伝えたところ、父親には思っていた以上に反対されたので驚いた。
When we talked about it about a year ago, I was surprised that my father was mad at me more than I expected.
しかし、今回はすでに次の会社の内定ももらったし、納得してもらえたのでよかった。
However, he agreed with me this time after the confirmation of the offer letter I got from the next company.
とはいえ、仮に了解をもらえなかったとしても、退職はするつもりであった。
Honestly, I’m going to resign from the company if he doesn’t agree with me.
実際に仕事をするのは自分であり、自分が納得した会社で仕事がしたいと思っていたので、あくまで報告の位置づけである。
This issue is mine, not his and I would like to work at a company I consent to. So, the purpose of today’s discussion was like reporting.
