今日はお寿司をテイクアウトした。
My wife and I got take away sushi for dinner.
もともと、面接が合格したら食べようと思っていて、のびのびになってしまい、かつ不合格になってしまった。
Originally, we were planning to eat sushi as a celebration if I was able to pass the whole interview process with the company I was applying for. We postponed buying sushi many times because there were more interviews than we expected and I failed it eventually.
いずれにせよ、一段落がついたところなので、食べることにした。
Now that I was done with the interview process, we finally ate it.
久しぶりに食べたせいか、しょっぱく感じた。
Since we had sushi for the first time in a while, we felt it tasted salty.
シャリにも塩が使われているし、醤油をつけながら食べるので、食べ終わった後には夫婦で水をがぶ飲みしてしまった。
It was not only because the sushi was eaten with dipping soy sauce, but also the sushi rice contains salt. So, we both downed water after eating sushi.
