友人とラーメンを食べた。
I ate ramen with my friend who is an Uber Eats delivery man.
というのも、今回の転職がパスできるかどうかを賭けていた。
I had bet dinner with him that I would be able to move to the company I was applying to.
結果して失敗に終わったのでわたしがご馳走することになったが、食事をする機会にもなったのでよかった。
I lost the bet and I treated him to dinner tonight. Anyway, this was a good opportunity to see him. Even though I enjoyed talking to him, I wasn’t totally satisfied with the ramen.
なによりお腹いっぱいにならなかったのが残念である。
What matters most to me was that I was not full after finishing the ramen.
1,000円払って満腹感を得られないのでは、正直うれしさ半減であり、外食に対する気持ちがさらに薄れた。
If I’m not able to satisfy myself with 1,000 yen ramen, I can’t expect to be satisfied when eating out. Currently, I don’t want to eat ramen at a ramen shop anymore.
